💫Information on the new Angel reformulation! 💫
Hi everyone!
A reddit user named u/HabitPuzzleheaded983 very kindly made a post with the good news that L'Oreal had listened to consumers and have reformulated our beloved Angel to smell like/closer to the original.
I have some further news which I am sure will help some of us, because it certainly helped me💫 -
I just spoke to Mugler customer service on the phone, and the lady was SO helpful.
She confirmed that yes, the news about the reformulation is TRUE 💜
She also gave me a much needed lesson in deciphering the batch code numbers.
What you need to look for is certain letters in the batch code, which will tell you the year -
Y = 2024
Z = 2025
A = 2026
The reformulation was first manufactured at the end of 2025.
My bottle is 22Y200F - this indicates that my bottle, being code Y, is the OLD formulation. The 2 that follows indicates that it was manufactured in February.
So, for the new formulation, we need a code with a Z or an A. In the case of the Z batch, to make sure it is the new formulation, it must then be followed be an N or D (which indicates November or December respectively)
It was explained to me that the most important numbers/letters are in the centre of the code. The other numbers, like my 00F are not to help me decipher anything, but are more for warehouse records etc.
