A girl got emotionally attached to me in just 2 weeks, and today I told her I don’t want a relationship. 😔
So this story started from a dating application where I saw her profile, and she had already liked me. We connected and have been talking for the last two and a half weeks.
A couple of days ago, we finally met at a nice fancy restaurant. We spent a lot of time together. She was a little introverted and nervous because it was her first time meeting a guy like this — her first real date ever. Most of the time I was the one talking, telling her stories about my childhood and life, just trying to make her comfortable.
Then something unexpected happened. After lunch, she asked me if I’d be okay taking things one step forward into a relationship. Honestly, I didn’t know what to say.
The thing is, she had traveled around 250 km just to come meet me in my city before going to the city where she works. That effort really meant something.
But today, I told her honestly that I don’t think I have those feelings for her. After hearing that, her voice became quiet and sad, and I felt really bad because she’s genuinely a very good girl.
What makes it harder is that she has never been in a relationship before, never had a boyfriend, and she was looking for something serious — date to marry kind of serious.
Now I honestly don’t know what to do. I don’t want to hurt her, but I also don’t want to give false hope.
