I just got back from the dealership for my Hyundai Sonata and they told me I only need a new accelerator pedal assembly. They didn’t really say anything besides that. Here’s where I’m confused. While talking to the service advisor, I saw the pedal assembly priced around $550 on their computer. But during the visit I also saw a total closer to $830 on the phone service updates. Then I checked online and found the same pedal assembly on Hyundai Parts websites for around $200 (before labor of course).
I also watched videos on replacing it and it honestly looks pretty simple, maybe a 20-30 minute job. Has anyone here replaced one themselves? Did it need any programming or recalibration after installing it?
Just looking for some clarity before I decide what to do. I also might attempt to do it myself.
