Course help?
Hey everyone,
I need some advice. Hopefully someone has been in the same situation or can point me in the right direction.
I recently started both courses in the Funeral Pre-Planner virtual certificate of achievement program through Humber. I am a few modules in to both courses and have already faced issues.
First, the course content notes we are to be reading and studying from are full of spelling, gramatical and punctuation errors. It is frustrating to me to read through them, knowing that I paid a lot of money to take these courses and they're so poorly written.
Second, I took the first quiz. A question that was so clearly (in my mind) correct was marked wrong for me. When I reached out to my professor she let me know that question "always trips students up". The question was about who could "offer" a service, and not perform said service I guess. But I did not read that.
I do have diagnosed autism and mild learning disabilities - however, given that my courses are only 4 months in length and the wait time for an appointment with accessibility services (appointment would be in mid-late July and my courses finish the first week of August) I saw no point in seeking their help. I asked my professor if I can expect many questions within the next quizes to have questions that would "trip" me up because I understand tests are meant to challenge you, but not trick us. That isn't fair.
Am I wrong here? What should I do next? Thanks.
