This might sound like a stupid question.

Hey so I've been riding for about 5 or 6 years, 5 on the 125cc and almost a year in june on my dads birthday this year, I've been trying my best to look after my motorbike but I'm still really uncomfortable about taking off breakpads and cleaning them and regreasing them etc same with the chain tension which is probably a lot easier and doing general stuff apart from giving it a good ol wash and relube of the chain after a ride.

So what I'm basically asking is if I was to go to an actual mechanic or someone who is handy with bikes and offer them like £100 / £150 quid to just teach me the ropes would that be considered weird or insulting on the price.

I'm the type of person who thinks you get nothing for free so felt the handout of some money for knowledge that will save me money in the long run is a good shout and good practice for me to care for my motorbike as its a big part of my life.

Thanks for any comments and thoughts.
