How to stop Excessive mouthing
Hi!
we’ve had a wonderful dog for several months now. she’s half lab/pyrenees/golden retriever. Shes now potty trained, kennel trained, has learned “sit” “lay down” and “stay”. she goes out all the time. I buy her a new chew toy every week. but I’m missing something because she has become absolutely impossible with mouthing all of us. she’s especially worse with the kids, to the point they don’t want to come out of their room. its constant! we’ve tried timeouts, leashing her indoors so I can correct quicker, more chew toys and redirection, withdrawing attention. she’s starting to leave marks on the kids. i really tried researching these breeds, training and all of that. I’m worried that perhaps with three kids…our house is just too excitable for her? I want to keep her forever and am desperate to get this under control. she is 8 months old. so I know she’ll chew, she’ll be more excitable. but the mouthing I cannot deal with. im open to all suggestions!
