The fall is unreal, I remember there was one season where he was our only performing batter and we would urge the management to send him up the order to now asking them to send him lower down.
Porel should have that opening slot, he did fairly well last season and this could have been his breakout season but we chose to drop him from 11.
Same story from Ashutosh, why would you not play a player in the 11 from the start especially someone who has won you matches. We will very likely lose him next season as he will chose to go in auction or be traded than sitting on bench.
And I'm saying play them regardless of domestic form. IPL is a different beast, and if they've performed in ipl before, they can do it again and make it better. Take the case of Prabhsimran, did he have a great domestic season? No. Was he they replaced? No. That confidence builds players, and these players build teams that win tournaments.
He has missed too many run outs, stumpings, catches this season. Need to give the gloves to Stubbs or Porel (if he plays consistently from here).
