A teenager who has a question.

Hello everyone! it’s me again, the teenager who had a lot of questions. Thank you to those people that answered! I have some questions tho, I’m like part of the LGBTQ (Bisexual) and I also support abortion (if it’s needed). Do you guys think I can still be accepted by God and Jesus? Do you think God and Jesus will accept me for the way I am and for my opinion? Thank you so much again guys!

A Catholic teenager who has a lot of questions

Hello everyone! I’m a Catholic teenager who has a lot of questions in my mind. It would mean a lot if some of you could answer them because I really want to get closer to God and understand Him better. I’ll also be honest: part of why I’m asking is because I have a fear of death and the unknown. Sometimes I get scared thinking about what happens after we die, and I’m trying to understand more instead of just being afraid. I’m not trying to become atheist or argue against faith — I’m asking because I want answers that can help me grow closer to God.

My first question is: when a baby or a child dies (or anyone really), do they continue to grow in heaven? Or do they stay the age they were when they died? And when the time comes for God to erase the old earth and create the new heaven and new earth, and our bodies are resurrected and purified, would babies still stay babies?

My second question is: when a soul makes it to heaven, what will they look like? Will they look like how they looked here on earth? Will they remember all the memories they had here and be able to recognize and identify the people they knew?

My third question is about suffering. I saw something saying that God created suffering so people would grow closer to Him and stronger in faith. But what about people who die while suffering, especially babies and children? If suffering is meant to draw people closer to God, what about those who never got the chance to spiritually grow from it?

My fourth question is about free will and suffering. I understand that people say suffering exists because of free will, but babies born with sickness didn’t choose that, and children who are harmed by others didn’t choose that either. How does free will explain suffering like that?

My fifth question is about Adam and Eve. If God told them not to eat from the tree, why create the tree in the first place? Why place something there that could lead humanity to fall?

And lastly: if I’m mistaken in anything I said here, please gently correct me. I’m still learning and trying to understand. Thank you for taking the time to answer.

A catholic teenage who have a lot of questions

Hi, I’m asking this genuinely because I’m trying to understand God better, not because I’m trying to argue or become atheist. I believe in God and want to keep believing, but I have some hard questions I’ve been struggling with:

  1. If God is loving, where is He when babies or children die or suffer terribly?
  2. People say suffering brings us closer to God, but what about babies or children who die before they can grow spiritually? What was the purpose of their suffering?
  3. We have free will, but babies born with severe illness didn’t choose that. Children who are abused didn’t choose that either. How does free will explain suffering like that?
  4. If God told Adam and Eve not to eat the fruit, why create the tree in the first place? Why put something there that could lead humanity to fall?
  5. If sickness and suffering exist, does that mean God created us with suffering as part of His design? Or is sickness part of a broken world rather than His original plan?
  6. What happens to babies and young children when they die? Are they automatically with God?
  7. If heaven and the new earth are real, do babies who die stay babies forever, or do they somehow grow/become complete there?
  8. When God makes the new heaven and new earth, how exactly does that restoration work for people whose lives were cut short?

I’m asking because I care about truth and want to understand, not because I’m rejecting faith. I’d really appreciate thoughtful Christian/Catholic answers.
