I am torn and need help deciding between two SWE offers. Salaries are basically identical, so I’m leaving compensation out of it.

Disney (NYC):

• Ad tech within Disney Entertainment/ESPN focused on tools to support live channel ads
• Tech stack: .NET, SQL, Kafka

Apple (Cupertino):

• IS&T, working on AI-powered support/contact center technology for customers calling in for device help
• Tech stack: Java, NoSQL

The catch is that my long-term partner will likely be working in tech in NYC within a year. Because of that, picking Apple would be optimizing for long-term exit opportunities and likely moving back to NYC <2 years.

I’m struggling with whether choosing Apple for the brand/experience is worth giving up Disney and a certain work location in NYC. (BTW I already interned at Apple on a different team last summer). Would really appreciate hearing any opinions here
