Looking for reliable China Sourcing Agents – Any personal leads?

I’m currently in the process of prepping for the upcoming school season and looking to import school essentials for kids (stationery, backpacks, etc.) along with some home utility items.
As many of you know, finding a reliable sourcing agent in China can be a hit-or-miss experience. I’ve been browsing platforms like Alibaba, but I’d much rather work with an agent that someone in this community has actually used and had a good experience with regarding quality checks and logistics.
I’m specifically looking for agents who:
- Have experience with small to medium MOQs.
- Are transparent with their commission/fee structure.
- Ideally, have handled shipments to India before (to help navigate the current customs landscape).
If you’ve worked with someone reliable or even have tips on what "red flags" to look out for when vetting agents for these specific categories, I’d love to hear your thoughts!
