Highschool Student Creating Budgets
Hello All!
I'm a high school student hoping to study finance in university, and I've been building a small web app called Savings Chart (https://saving-chart.ca) to strengthen my portfolio and extracurriculars before I apply. It's a tool that lets you visualize your income, expenses, and savings as a Sankey diagram so you can actually see where your money is going each month — something I wish existed when I started tracking my own spending. Everything is stored on a private server (no ads, no selling data), and you can sign up with just an email.
I'd really appreciate it if a few of you could take a couple of minutes to click around and tell me what you think — especially: is the sign-up flow clear, does the chart make sense the first time you see it, and is there anything about the design or wording that feels off or confusing? Brutally honest feedback is genuinely more useful to me than compliments. I'm still learning, and any suggestion — UX, finance accuracy, features you'd want, even spelling mistakes — helps me improve both the project and my understanding of what real users care about. Thanks so much for taking a look
