Just had a horrible experience with Elan financial service. They seem to be living in mid-century world.

Filed the application online. Heard nothing in my email or cell number provided. After 10 days , I Called back to check the status. They told me a disapproval letter was sent out. Asking for the reason, they said they could not tell me, and it would be in the letter. Then the letter arrived while we were on vacation. There was no reason listed in the letter other than "can not verify identity".Come on, I provided all my personal information when filing the application online. What do you mean you could not verify the identity? And I have a prefect credit score , FYI.

Called again, this time they said they needed my SSN card and drivers license faxed over. Who still use fax these days? I spent 15 dollar going to fedeax fax over the document as instructed. Heard nothing for another week.

Called again after a week. the operator said she saw a note that "the faxed document is not clear". But can anyone email or text me about this? They have my cell and email on the application. How can the applicant know a note in their ancient system? BTW, I have a copy of the fax which is colored and really clear. But no, you need get them in again.

Ok I faxed the same thing over again the same day. Called the next day, this time I was told,my application went inactive after 30 days. I need to reapply again. And their representative, and supervisor Rachael in the Fraud department were not helpful at all. DO not feel they care about their business. They just want to sit in the office with as little work as possible,

Fidelity, Please GET RID OF ELAN FINACIAL. The whole process and the attitude just made me sick from stomach. Last time I had such a horribel experience was 10 years ago,with Amex's INDIAN customer service who had no idea how to do credit card business and who can barely understand my request, That time , I have to cancel my 20 year old Amex.
