Change default IP Address
Can the default 40F address 0f 192.168.1.99 be changed to match something different to match an ip in your network for testing? I can't test the management of the device in the cloud.
Thanks 😊

Cx Purchased a FortiGate-40F w/UTP & FC Premium to replace 30E with v5.63 build1547 (GA) Can the firmware converter convert the older 5.6x version?
Seems I read version 6x is needed? If so, where can I obtain updated versions since the unit has no support?
Thanks 😊

Issue:
Troubleshooting connectivity issues between 24 port netgear switch to Fortinet firewall. Frequently have performance and connectivity problems.
Environment: Business
Existing working 24 port patch panel with existing active connections.
Troubleshooting:
Temporarily connected a 8 port netgear switch to by pass 24 port switch to OLD fortninet 30G oe E firewall port out. Connected several computers directly to 8 port switch and ping Lan/Wan connectivity via firewall.
However, and active computer patched to 24 port switch works/active, but a new patch cable from the original patch panel port does not show any activity even with several new cat6 patch cables. Location wired w/T568B standard.
I've performed this many times over the years and this had me frustrated and stumped.
Any ideas network/cabling teams.
I can add picts. Didn't think to take some yesterday.
Office environment:
Patch panel connections have active connections to 24 port switch, but not to a 8 port netgear switch with new cat6 cables. I have shorter net patch cables working fine. However, a new 8' patch cable shows no connectivity nor does the computer have connection back from 8 port switch. Does not add up. 🤯🤷♂️
Didn't take pict any ideas network / cabling team??
