I have been preparing for upsc for more than 2 years in my home. Now I have decided to join a university. I know that JNU is far better if I want to prepare for upsc but I can't get admission there. Will I be able to study for upsc in HCU( my foundation is done I have studied most things it is just revision and answer writing now). What is better, to spend one more agonising year in my room or joining HCU?

ps- I may get admission in MA anthropology in hcu

A little long but please read and guide

I am 24, i completed my grad in 2023. Preparing for upsc since then. In the first 2 years I was just pretending to prepare without any progress. I always wanted to study in a central university but my family and friends insisted that I should focus on upsc. This year I gave cuet and gained good marks and can get admission in many top universities. I have been preparing seriously for past one year and have made significant progress. But now if I fail in this prelims I don't want to stay at home. I am very frustrated with this isolated life. I don't have the financial means to go to Delhi. Should I join a good university with a hostel facility and prepare from there or should i bear everything and focus one more year by staying at home? Is it too late for me at this age?I have also romanticised so much about JNU, DU, BHU, HCU etc that I everyday die of fomo. Please give your advice.🔥🔥
