Looking for suggestions for my outdoor budget golf sim
Here are my current specs:
-Go sports elite 10’Lx7.5’H golf hitting net
-.5” Amazon hitting mat + .75” foam padding (1.25” total)
-sigpro softly lite hitting strip “1.25”
-.75” mats for under the golf net and landing area.
Here is what I plan to buy next:
-Mevo gen 2 launch monitor.
I plan on getting the launch monitor and connecting it to my gaming laptop to get ball data. I would at one point like to get an impact scream and projector to use as a fully built sim. However I’m not sure how I would go about this. Would I only be able to use at night? If so that’s fine with me. I like the idea of having a range in the backyard where I can dial in my numbers and ball flight, but that being said wouldn’t mind having the full sim experience.
I’m also trying to get 10 feet of distance between ball and net for the most accurate ball flight data, feel like the screen is fine for me but that being said I could almost s***k one and put a hole through my neighbors window. Should I get an additional net behind my net that is a little wider and taller. I also have the problem of not being able to hit full 60s bc I feel like if I hit too high off the face with an open club face it would also go over the net.
With that being said if anyone has any words of wisdom or experience with an outdoor build like myself, please leave and tips or suggestions down below. Your anticipated advice and suggestions are very much appreciated! Thanks in advance.
