Been building a trading workflow/toolkit to simplify morning prep

Been quietly building a market intelligence toolkit over the last few months and figured Software Sunday was probably the right place to share it.

Originally this started because I got tired of juggling 15 tabs every morning trying to track:

  • earnings movers
  • biotech catalysts
  • borrow pressure
  • continuation setups
  • news flow
  • unusual activity
  • premarket structure

So I started wiring together APIs/scanners into one workflow and it’s slowly turned into a full system.

Some things it currently does:

  • biotech catalyst tracking (PDUFAs, trial readouts, FDA events)
  • continuation and momentum watchlists
  • custom watchlist management
  • user notifications/alerts for stocks they’re watching
  • borrow pressure / squeeze tracking
  • stock split tracking
  • market intelligence AI search tools
  • support/resistance + chart analysis
  • unusual options / dark pool data
  • premarket and after-hours alerts
  • opening drive focused

A few screenshots below of the current UI/tools. Still actively improving it almost daily.

Curious what features traders here actually wish existed in trading tools that currently don’t.

Update: I Took Your Feedback and Rebuilt My Biotech Market Intelligence System, Still hi Looking for More Input

Tool Shown: Catalyst Backtest shows how a biotech stock has reacted to catalysts such as Phase readouts PDUFAs, etc.

A few weeks ago I posted here asking for feedback on a biotech focused market intelligence system I was building.

A lot of the feedback was honestly helpful, especially around avoiding the “signal group” vibe and focusing more on research workflow, catalysts, and data organization.

Since then I’ve rebuilt a huge part of the system and wanted to share an update + get more feedback from biotech traders.

Some of the things added since the last post: • FDA / PDUFA tracking • Clinical catalyst monitoring • Historical catalyst reaction analysis • Float + borrow pressure tools • Split + dilution tracking • Insider / institutional activity • News aggregation • Momentum + continuation scanners • Cleaner UI with navigation/buttons • Multi-source biotech intelligence aggregation

The main goal has been building tools that help traders do their own DD faster instead of chasing alerts.

I’ve attached a screenshot because one of the biggest criticisms last time was that people assumed it was just another signal Discord. Hopefully the UI/screenshots make it clearer this is more of a biotech market intelligence and research workflow project.

Still actively building it every day, so I’d genuinely love feedback: • What features would actually be useful to biotech traders? • What data do you feel is hardest to track right now? • What would make something like this genuinely valuable vs noise?

Appreciate all the feedback from the earlier posts — it honestly helped shape the direction of the project a lot. Also you are welcome to try it; the link is in my profile.

Just got a hit on my unusual options scanner in my biotech group I run.

NTLA call option sweep: • 2,047 contracts • $16 strike • June 18 expiration

NTLA is currently around $13.47.

That’s roughly an ~18% move needed to go ITM. $178k is a big bet.

Curious what people think: catalyst incoming or just speculation?

If you are interested in joining the group, the link is in my profile, drop me a DM, or comment below.

Over the past few months I’ve been building a Discord bot for my trading group that aggregates data from several market APIs and surfaces useful info for small cap / biotech traders.

Instead of bouncing between 10 different sites, the idea is to bring everything into one place.

Right now it pulls data from APIs like Polygon, Massive, Finnhub, TwelveData, yfinance, StockTitan, and biotech catalyst databases, and can do things like:

• Scan momentum runners (gap %, relative volume, VWAP status, RSI/MACD momentum)
• Identify potential short squeeze candidates
• Generate price charts automatically (1m / 5m / daily) with support, resistance, and VWAP
• Pull real-time news headlines for tickers
• Detect unusual volume and momentum shifts
• Generate support / resistance levels automatically
• Build structured trade plans based on technical structure
• Show upcoming biotech catalysts (PDUFAs, clinical trials, FDA events)
• Pull upcoming earnings announcements
• Surface congressional stock trades
• Highlight potential squeeze pressure (short interest / days to cover when available)

It basically acts like a research assistant for small cap stocks, so you can quickly evaluate a ticker without jumping between scanners, charting platforms, news feeds, and catalyst calendars.

Still actively building it and adding new features every week.

Curious from other traders here:

If you could design the perfect penny stock research tool, what data would you want it to surface automatically?

Some things I’m considering adding next:

• Float rotation alerts
• Borrow rate / shares available to short
• Dark pool prints
• Social sentiment spikes
• Institutional accumulation
• AI summarized catalyst analysis

Always interested in ideas from other traders.

If anyone wants to check it out or test it, the Discord link is in my profile.

NFA — just a research tool.

Some of the features we’ve built so far:

• 📊 Daily watchlists with key support/resistance levels
• 🚨 Real-time biotech catalyst alerts (clinical trials, FDA updates, PDUFAs)
• 🔍 Momentum scanners for unusual volume and potential runners
• 📅 Biotech catalyst calendar tools for upcoming events
• 📈 Gap / breakout / continuation scanners to surface momentum setups early

We also recently launched a new intelligence bot inside the server that can:

• 🤖 Analyze a ticker on demand (chart structure, momentum indicators, levels)
• 📰 Pull the latest news and catalysts instantly
• 📊 Generate structured trade plans with key technical levels
• 🧬 Break down biotech pipelines, clinical trials, and upcoming catalysts
• 🚀 Identify potential runners or short squeeze setups
• 📉 Show support/resistance levels and technical context in seconds

The goal isn’t signals — it’s tools that help traders find opportunities faster and do their own research.

Still adding new scanners and features every week and looking for feedback from other traders on what would be useful.

Not financial advice — just sharing tools I’ve been building.

I run a Discord where we track biotech catalysts, momentum setups, and technical levels.

Join https://discord.gg/s2PwRmBxh

Every night we build a structured watchlist using multiple scans (continuations, breakouts, gap setups, and sector momentum). Stocks that appear on multiple scans usually get the most attention because they show stronger technical confluence.

Here’s tomorrow’s biotech watchlist for 4/27.

High Confluence (appears on multiple lists): ⭐ CMPS (3 lists) 🔵 ENVB, ATAI, PRAX, ANAB (2 lists)

Sectors showing momentum right now: • Psychedelic biotech (CMPS, ATAI) • Cannabis sympathy (TLRY, CGC) • Breakout structures (ANAB, IMTX, ZYME)

The chart includes key support and resistance levels we’re watching going into tomorrow.

I like posting these because people often spot setups I miss and it creates good discussion.

If anyone wants to check out the Discord where we track these scans and biotech catalysts daily, the link is in my profile.

Curious what everyone else is watching in biotech this week.

u/Adventurous-Shoe-903 — 18 days ago

A couple weeks ago I posted about a biotech alert set of tooIs I was building because I got tired of missing catalysts. The feedback here was great, so I kept building.

I’ve added some pretty big upgrades and I’m curious what biotech traders think.

The system aggregates signals like:

• FDA filings
• SEC filings
• clinical trial updates
• biotech news
• unusual options activity
• analyst upgrades
• float rotation

But the biggest additions are tools that add context, not just alerts.

Some of the new features:

AI TradePlan Generator
Creates a structured market framework with key levels, support/resistance, momentum context, and risk reference areas so traders can quickly understand the setup.

If it’s helpful I can also drop an example TradePlan for a biotech ticker people here are watching.

Biotech Catalyst Intelligence
Tracks PDUFA decisions, trial readouts, and regulatory events plus historical move context so you can see how stocks reacted to similar catalysts in the past.

Pipeline + Competition Mapping
Shows drugs in development, clinical stage, and competing therapies in the same indication so you can quickly understand the landscape around a company.

Momentum / Squeeze Detection
Bots scanning for developing runners, short squeeze setups, and abnormal volume expansion.

The goal isn’t to tell anyone what to trade — it’s just meant to surface important biotech signals faster so people can do their own research.

I’m actively building this and adjusting based on trader feedback, so if there’s a signal or alert you think would actually be useful, I’d genuinely like to add it.

Would love feedback from biotech traders:

• What signals are most useful to you?
• What alerts do you wish existed but don’t?

If anyone wants to check it out, the link is in my profile.
You can also comment below or DM me.

I run a trading community focused primarily on biotech momentum, catalysts, and technical breakouts. The goal is simple: identify high-probability setups before they move using a mix of technical levels, catalyst tracking, and volume expansion signals.

If that sounds interesting, feel free to check out the group here: 👉 https://discord.gg/s2PwRmBxh

📊 About Today’s Watchlist

The chart attached is my daily biotech momentum watchlist built from technical scans and catalyst monitoring.

Instead of chasing random runners, the list focuses on four key technical setups that tend to produce the largest percentage moves in biotech:

1️⃣ Continuation Setups Stocks already trending higher that are holding key support levels and may continue their move if momentum persists.

2️⃣ Breakout Structures Names that are pushing into multi-timeframe resistance levels where expansion moves can happen if buyers step in.

3️⃣ Bullish Chart Setups Biotech charts with strong structure and bullish positioning that could transition into momentum plays if volume expands.

4️⃣ Gap-Up Momentum Candidates Names that showed strong strength or gaps and may see continuation moves if support levels hold early in the session.

For each chart on the watchlist I map: • Key support levels to watch for entries • Resistance levels where momentum could expand • Invalidation levels where the setup breaks

The goal isn’t predicting the market — it’s preparing levels so we can react quickly if momentum shows up.
