I have USPS informed delivery emails and a package with a tracking number listed as certified mail is coming from Morgan and Morgan to my home address in Kansas City from their Las Vegas Nevada location (I have never been to the state of Nevada but I know their operation is large and work is likely done all over). Neither I nor my spouse have been involved in any accidents, auto or otherwise, and the only people ever on our home property (this is a new home we purchased recently) have been delivery drivers, so no accidents at home either. We do not own businesses and don't own any other property other than our home. Never contacted Morgan and Morgan in my life. What could this be about? The letter has just been pending at the Las Vegas USPS location for over a week and hasn't moved nor has it been officially accepted by USPS per the tracking. I only know about it because one a label is created to our address it shows up on my informed delivery emails. My prevailing theory right now is perhaps this is meant for the previous owners of the home as it has been less than a year since we moved in and we have received mail intended for them recently. Since this a personal injury firm that I have heard is pretty scummy I was nervous to see this listed on our incoming mail and wanted to know if there were reasons other than this being a demand letter that we might receive certified mail from them?
