In my personal opinion, that fight was top 3 in the entire novel, maybe even top 1. The sheer intensity of everything going on, crashing into the sun, splitting the turtle creature in two, the dark wanderer, the birds' plan to escape corruption itself, reclamation of Sunny's fate, fighting across the aeons of time, IT WAS JUST SO PEAK 😭😭😭

And that final showdown with them both in the estuary, with the stillness surrounding them was so vivid I genuinely loved this fight so much. Sunny was getting his shit ROCKED dare I say worse than he's ever been
