Hey guys,

I just wanted to rant, but i’m a 20F and I still don’t have my drivers license. All my friends have it, and my best friend just got his. He told me that he booked lessons with a driving instructor and that after 4 lessons (4hours), he booked his test and passed.

I’m so happy for him, but I can’t help but feel stupid. I took driving lessons 2-3 years ago with a driving instructor and it was not fun. He wasn’t patient with me, he kept telling me that if I wasn’t practicing with my parents then there’s not much he can do. I remember when he was teaching me how to switch lanes, I was too scared to and he forced me to go 10 km over the speed limit and took the wheel and kept turning it non stop. My last lesson I was supposed to go on the highway and he refused to take me because I was not ready and that I needed to practice with my parents. He would tell me that my parking was way better than my driving and that he hoped he wouldn’t see me on the road anytime soon.

I still look back at this and feel ashamed that I got nothing out of my driving lessons with him. I felt very stupid and like my level of driving was the exact the same. I haven’t been back on the road since my lessons with him as I feel like I’m not meant to drive, but when I see all my friends, I can’t help but feel sad.

Anyhow, here’s my rant.
