Moving utilizing Amtrak

I have a possibility of moving, and this time I’d like to use Amtrak rather than drive. But I’ll need a car shipped. The drive is 14 hours and the train trip is 19 hours. From previous experiences I know the car shipper will arrive before I get there.

Two questions: the train departs at 2:30pm should I book the car shipper for the same day? Also, would the car shipper be flexible to my train schedule and not arrive until a certain time? I know they need someone there at drop off and payment.

Help me with this logistical problem or if you have an alternative solution.

I’m at express, and have only briefly been looking on workday. But have the majority of the stations in this region closed, or transition to ground? This would include Loveland, and Longmont. I’d like to know if I should continue looking, or if the stations are already done.

I lived here NCC north of Newark in the early 2000s for 12 years. After moving a few times, I reside in Illinois. Now I’m seeking a new state. I liked the cost of living of the state, the state park system, the beaches being near, college town of Newark, and the history.

Now I feel like I’m trying to recreate that but with less humidity, than Delaware.

Anyone move somewhere that’s similar to Delaware, but less humid and similar amenities?

For reference, I’m seriously considering MN, MI, or VA.
