For those with cameras, do you bother reporting cars parked in bike lanes?
I’ve grown increasing fed up of constantly swerving n in and out of the bike lanes because someone couldn’t bother locating proper parking. In one trip I’m swerving to avoid cars at least 5 times. It’s especially dangerous when cars are illegally parked near junctions/roundabouts, where I have to swerve out when cars are coming from multiple directions.
Another frustrating factor is that my council (Enfield) does not have a proper avenue for reporting these! They have a number which you have to call at the exact moment you see the car illegally parked, but if I’ve got somewhere to be, I don’t have the time to stop each time I see this. And the don’t respond to emails either. So it feels like there is no punishment for doing this in Enfield.
And I can’t report this to the Met, as they say you have to report this to your local council.
