Recommendations for desktop CNC mill

I am looking to replace a Roland MDX650 3-axis CNC milling machine that has served me well for 20+ years, but it is starting to show its age, and I can't find drivers that will work with newer versions of Windows.

Looking around a bit, it seems that the CNC landscape has changed a lot, with a ton of smaller tools available at a fraction of the cost that I paid for the Roland in 2005! Being badly out of the loop, I am hoping for some recommendations on a good option that can meet the following requirements:

  1. 6x6x6 inch minimum machining volume
  2. 1 µm/step (0.000039 inch/step) for all 3 axes
  3. auto tool changer
  4. auto z-height sensor
  5. full g-code support
  6. compatibile with standard CNC software
  7. compatiblility with steel obviously preferred, but ok if non-ferrous only

Any opinions or suggestions?

Any opinions on good options to be looking at?
