I work at a small family owned pet lodge, and I need to put in my two weeks notice today so I can start the new job I set up. we communicate primarily through text so this is the draft I have:
Good morning, [Boss’s name]! Please accept this text as my formal notice of resignation from my role as Hoser / Kennal Attendant. My last day of employment will be Monday, May 11th. I have greatly appreciated being a part of the pet lodge, and I’m grateful for the skills and experience I gained, as well as a positive work environment that made this job so enjoyable. But I sadly need to look for better opportunities to help me move forward towards my personal goals.
is this okay? Will there be any paperwork I need to fill out? I’ve not had a job before. I mean I HAVE but it was only for five days and I just straight up quit that one. I’m unsure how this will work and any advice will be greatly appreciated to help me navigate this with my employer.
