Hi! I am building an Archfey Warlock / Wild Magic Sorcerer for a high-level campaign (up to level 20) using 2024 rules. Narratively, this combo makes a lot of sense for this character but I only played 2014 Warlock and am a very narrative oriented player.

I’m worried about the mechanical weight since I've never played as Sorcerer and I consider myself more narrative driven vs mechanic heavy player.

Managing Sorcery Points, Metamagic, and tracking which spells trigger the Wild Magic Surge feels like a lot to track just for flavour and I wonder if it would feel more like a chore vs fun chaotic times.I'd like to hear your thoughts on this and on any recommendations for Multiclassing on 5.5e

Since subclasses now unlock at level 3, I’m leaning toward Archfey 3 / Sorcerer X. This secures the free Misty Steps and my Pact,
