I had lower blepharoplasty with fat repositioning at AB plastic surgery in December 2025. I chose them after researching for a few months and choosing out of 8 clinics I looked at. Their prices were the most reasonable and their response through WhatsApp. was prompt. Their prices were easy to understand and transparent with no hidden charges.
On the day I arrived into Seoul, I went to the clinic in the afternoon for consultation. AB plastic surgery took up at least 3 floors in an office building right next to Gangnam Station which is very convenient. One floor is consultation. The translator was with me throughout the blood test, EKG and x-rates. I then spoke separately with the consultant as well as the surgeon who will be performing the surgery. They were both very patient and answered every question I had. There was no pressure to add any more procedures than what I originally intended.
Surgery was scheduled the next day. I arrived at 9 am to be prepped. By 10:15, I was walking into the operation room where a team of nurses was also waiting for me. Within minutes, I was under general anesthesia. Afterwards, I was in the recovery room for a couple of hours before they called a taxi for me and I went back to the hotel.
I had antibiotic ointment, pain meds and antibiotics for 7 days, plus an eye mask and a packet of instructions for surgery after care. I followed the instructions closely. By the 2nd day, I felt ok enough to go out for takeout food and groceries. The swelling and bruising were obvious the first few days and started slowly subsiding on day 4. I didn’t experience much pain and was able to sleep well.
On days 5 and 6, I actually went out and did some sightseeing behind some sunglasses.
Went back to the clinic on day 7 to have the stitches removed. The surgeon came in to check and he was very pleased with the result.
I was able to fly out on day 8.
The swelling continued to improve over the next month. There was tightness on my face which got better after 6-8 weeks. Now, if I blink hard, there is still a slight twinge of tightness.
The eye bags are vastly improved. The are not completely eliminated but I am still very happy with the result. My friends could tell I had surgery done to my eyes. They just noticed I look better and less tired looking.
When I was there in December, AB’s clientele appeared to the younger local crowd. There were overseas clients and their translator team is very proficient. The doctor, who was kind and patient, spoke English but he deferred to the translator to communicate with me.
AB Plastic Surgery is a very professional and efficient operation. Their schedule is tightly controlled and very systematic. You just follow their procedures step by step. It all works well. If you are looking for a lot of hand holding, bespoke attention, then AB Plastic Surgery may not be for you. But if you are looking for people who know what they are doing, and do things efficiently and professionally, then I would recommend AB plastic surgery because I had a good experience with them.
