I’m a 26M , moved to the UK a few years ago and now I’m working as a solutions architect at a leading Pre IPO tech firm earning 170,000£+.

Around 50% of my comp is tied to stocks and since we’re private we can’t sell them whenever we like, but our company has offered yearly cash backs so far.
I have around 60,000£ in my stocks account [post tax] which I plan to use as a down payment.

Besides that I have around 27,000£ in savings split across stocks&shares isa and a savings ISA.

I haven’t started thinking about retirement and I’m just feeling unmotivated or that I’m still very poor, mostly because I can’t take out my stocks whenever I like.

This group has helped me a lot but lately I’ve started to feel I’m not doing enough.

Not sure if this is an age thing but does anyone fell like this? How did you overcome this and can anyone share guidance on how/where I can start a retirement plan?
