I am totally new to the teaching profession. I was previously working in mental and behavioral health with two degrees in social work, leading me to the ACP through iTeach. I have talked to the principals at the school wanting to hire me (I am being brought on as a 6th grade ELAR teacher), and they have asked me to complete the 4-8 English content area, ESL exam, and STR. From my understanding, I am not eligible to take the STR exam without completing the 4-8 English context exams. Is it feasible for me to complete the courses and sit for the exams before school begins in August? Any advice on how to navigate this process is greatly appreciated.
