What is an appropriate toner for brown hair?

I bought some hair extensions that were meant to match my ashy brown hair, but they are ORANGE. I've tried purple masks, and blue conditioners, and even a lightening hair dye that was supposed to be ashy, but nothing has touched the orange.

What is toner and how do I get my hands on some?

Men not asking questions, a red flag or a difference in communication styles?

I'm dating this guy and the physical chemistry is amazing. However, I don't think he's ever asked me a single question about my life. I've told him things about my family, past, current job, hobbies, friends etc. but I don't think he's ever asked a follow up question or tried to better understand/get more information out of me.

I asked him about it and he says that sometimes it just takes him some time to think of an "important question", I told him I don't need his questions to be important, I just need him to show that he's thinking about what I'm saying and showing that he wants to get to know me. He has not offered any questions about me since, despite us having hung out now for over two months, giving him more than enough time to have thought of some "important questions", or put in some effort in asking follow up questions just to make me feel like he's interested in me. He always seems to want to hang out, he clearly likes being around me and has told me that he's only interested in dating someone for the long-term.

It's not just this guy though, there are SO MANY dates that I've gone on where I haven't been asked a single question. I typically will give them one more date to give them a second chance, but if I don't get any questions on the second one I figure they aren't worth dating (my friend pushed me to keep seeing the guy above, which is the only reason why I'm in this situation right now).

Is this just how men communicate? Is there just a weird disconnect here between gender expectations or are these guys actually just not interested in me as a person?
