My boss is toxic. She likes me and is relatively ok with me but is terrible to others and the entire organization hates them. The CEO is turning a blind eye for some reason. Boss has told me several times that when they retire I will replace them as CFO. But the more I think about it the less I actually want the role. And I can't last that long waiting for something that is not guaranteed. I have an interview with another company for a senior consultant role. It will take me on a different path but I feel like I would do better with that sort of role (consulting) as opposed to the stress that comes with being a CFO. Should I make the change?
