I was using my 11th gen iPad (a16) to copy some files from my sd card to my hard drive and I noticed that sometimes it seems to cut the file size in half. The files still say they’re the same resolution but clearly they are not. When viewing images on the iPad using preview it seems to lower the resolution of all the images anyway, so I checked on my MacBook and sure enough the file that the iPad copied to the hard drive has been cut in half in size. If anyone has any ideas to what has happened please let me know. I copped about ten gigabytes worth of jpgs so about 350 photos and this is the only file that seemed to have been reduced in size. I’m going to be relying on this iPad to backup photos while I’m traveling so I hope this issue isn’t common.
