Hello! I am an Ohio native who has never actually been to King's Island (I live right by Cedar Point, so it's a 3 1/2-4 hour trek), and I am supposed to be going at the beginning of August. Unfortunately, since booking our summer vacation plans, I was diagnosed with a brain condition called a Chiari 1 malformation, which means that my brain is too big for my skull and is herniating down into my spinal column. Now, I have been told by numerous doctors that a coaster or 2 won't worsen my condition and given permission to do so if I so desire....I do, in fact, desire. I am a coaster junkie, I just thought everyone got a splitting headache for a few minutes after riding roller coasters....which apparently is not true lol.

Anyways, because my brain is putting pressure on my spinal cord, it gets banged about easier and causes a severe (but usually fairly brief) headache. For those familiar with Cedar Point, Maverick is a good example of a coaster that gives me an extremely bad headache...but Steel Vengeance isn't too bad. The smoother the coaster, the less pain I am in. So my question is, when considering a coaster or 2 to try, which would you recommend as being relatively smooth?

Thanks!

July 4th, 2020, my stepmom (who raised me) passed away from a random stroke. She was a Scottish immigrant, and last year, I was finally able to take her ashes home.

This is for you, mom.

The Weight of Ash

Upon the moor where heather bends in blue,

I walked the wind that once had carried you,

Your silent weight within my trembling hand,

And felt the sky grow wider in its hue.

The hills recalled the echo of your name,

Each stone and stream yet whispering the same,

As though the earth itself had learned your breath,

And kept your memory in its ancient frame.

The stream lay stretched, a silver, solemn guide,

Its restless heart in rhythmic, endless tide,

I cast you to the deep with quiet tears,

And watched the earth receive you in it's stride.

No final word could all my grief contain,

No simple parting soften all the pain,

Yet in that vast and undivided air,

I felt you freed from sorrow and from strain.

So now the wind that sweeps the rugged land,

May bear some trace of you on every strand,

And though I walk this world with you no more,

I leave you here, and trust you'll understand, I love you, forevermore
