Teacher's Appreciation Week is next week in my daughter's small school. It is about 3 classrooms, a 2's, olders 2's-3's, and a 4's classroom. I am looking for advice on how to make sure teachers know are appreciated. For context, when my daughter started, she just turned two but the room that had space for her was the older 2's room. She stayed there for about 2 weeks till someone moved up and she moved to the correct room. Since it is a small privately owned daycare, all the teachers of her school play and interact with her esp on the playground. We are in a VHCOL area.
There are 6 teachers, an assistant director, and a director. Am I wrong to give a bigger amount to her "main teachers" like $50 Target gc each and then a $15 gc to the every other teachers and directors? I will also be contributing to the school pool fund to buy teachers treats, coffee, flowers. Husband says that the children in those other classes should be the one giving GC's to their main teachers. However, I was once a teacher who was at the receiving end of other people's generosity.
Need advice, and are the amounts I mentioned ok nowadays? I havent stepped foot in a classroom since 2019!
