I'm a PFC married to my wife who has BPD, my travel packet for my family came back today and said travel not recommended, it still needs to be reviewed by the medical CG. I know there is a possibility that they could overrule that decision, but I'm thinking about applying for a compassionate reassignment before the final decision is made. Should I do this I heard that requesting a compassionate reassignment can destroy your career, but I've already been away from my family for 9 months for training and I don't want to be apart from my family for another year.
