I just need to express frustration but I need some clarity. I just got non renewed due to a bad budget situation. (22 teachers in the district). I’ve been applying for secondary history teaching positions trying to feel hopeful in staying as a teacher. I applied to a few positions last night and this afternoon my department chair and assistant principal let me know a school already reached out to them for reference. Feeling confident I went on their district website to look at the school and their posting for history teacher is now suddenly .5 FTE when last night it was 1.0. FTE
I need health insurance and I have bills to pay. A school seems interested in me and they changed their job posting. I know for a fact I read 1.0 because I screenshot and write down every job I apply to.
Am I overthinking or is this a simple mistake? Should I even accept an opportunity to interview if I won’t even get health insurance at part time in Massachusetts?
