What’s something your mom said that stuck with you for life?

What’s something your mom said that stuck with you for life?

Mine: growing up, my mom always told me, “You don’t have to live up to other people’s expectations.”

I’m 30 now, and because of that, I’ve actually had the courage to quit a stable job and start my own thing. I’m doing stuff most people would probably call “impractical” or a bad idea.

No clue how it’s all going to turn out, but I’m genuinely happy right now.

I recently did one of those mom personality tests with her and she got CHILL-M, which is honestly accurate. She’s always been the type to say, “As long as you’re happy.”
