Škoda Kamiq: Am I crazy or does the Interior of base models actually look better than Monte Carlo version?

I recently went for a test drive of a 1.5 DSG Škoda Kamiq Monte Carlo and while I really liked the drivability of the car, I was less impressed with the color palette of the interior. It seemed to me that the Monte Carlo interior is too dark and too dominated by black surfaces. With teh red trim line running across the dashboard looking kinda extra tacky.

Having spent some time in a mid-range 2025 Škoda Octavia, that shares the similar dash design, I actually find the interior design of standard Kamiq models much more premium and elegant. The lighter contrasts with black and soft gray details give it more sophisticated feel, whereas the all-black with red details Monte Carlo comes a bit tacky and visually heavy.

Im now torn because I like everything else about Monte Carlo, but this interior was a real let down. Particularly because I went home with this abovementioned Octavia.
