Weve had our pup for a week and a bit now and we felt as though we have been making good progress, particularly with crate training. She's generally great in the night and accidents are becoming much more rare!
After an hour of general activity like a toilet break, training , feeding, and playing, our pup tends to calm down and sleep in her crate within 5 or so minutes which is great.
However, she tends to wake up 40 minutes to an hour into her nap. We take her on a 10-15 minute toilet break but after this point when we return her to her crate for the second hour, she's really challenging and will become really very distressed she'll cry loudly and bark and dig at the bottom of her crate.
We think it's a case of her toilet break being too exciting in our garden. With small stones or plants being a particular favourite.
But I'd really appreciate hearing other people's experience and how they have made the 1-2 rule work for them!
