I’m an international student in a Michigan ADN program facing a major setback. Due to a curriculum change and one failed course, I will graduate a year later. Because of my F-1 status, I have to pay out-of-pocket for 12 credits per semester, meaning I'll have to take electives just to stay in status while waiting to retake my one nursing class next semester. Rest of the semester has 6-9 credits in the program. Regardless, I have to take random electives to meet 12 credits requirement. I’m looking to transfer to another community college in Michigan where I can finish within two years ( 4 semester)and ideally apply before the Fall semester starts. With some B’s in my prereqs, does anyone know of flexible programs? Given it is already May, will be able to get into Fall 2026 programs. I will have to transfer, take Hesi, meet the prereqs requirements etc. I am looking for ADN programs that's less competitive. Appreciate any suggetions.
