On April 29 my app Sea Water Temperature turned 1 year old.
Originally it was just a simple idea - I wanted to check sea temperature before going to the beach. Over time I kept adding more stuff, and now it’s kind of turning into a broader “water / beach companion” app:
- 35,000+ locations worldwide
- real-time water temperature
- map with exact spots
- nearby beaches + basic info
- simple temperature history charts
But honestly, I’m not sure if I’m positioning it correctly right now.
📊 Some numbers after 1 year:
- ~14K total installs
- ~1.7K installs last 30 days
- 73 in-app purchases
- ~$800 revenue
Traffic is a mix - around half is organic, and the rest comes from a partner website (free placement), so I’m still trying to figure out how to grow without relying on that.
