I called IRCC and was told my security is in progress. This makes me worried as most people’s security went from not started to complete. Is it normal to see security in progress, or it’s more likely that I am under comprehensive checks?

I noticed that the background on my GCKey turned to “not applicable” - what does this mean? It was in progress before.

For those with US travel history or have studied or worked in the U.S., how long did your background check generally take? My application has been stuck at background check, called IRCC and was told criminality, info sharing and security all in progress. Is this an indication of comprehensive security screening?
