First time visitors !
Hey everyone! Planning a roadtrip up to the coast of Maine in the next a few weeks and am looking for some recommendations/insights to what the better towns to visit are since there’s a few we’re interested in! Looking to probably stay at an Airbnb near Ogunquit from Thursday-Monday, I wanna spend time exploring the town and beach of Ogunquit but also have been told I have to check out the area of York/York Harbor and Kennebunkport, the big LL Bean that’s north of Portland and then of course there’s the city of Portland itself that I don’t know anything about.
I only have the 5 days but with driving from NJ, I want to make the most of my time without feeling like I’m spending the whole thing driving from place to place. Basically what I’m asking is what are the must see things and best areas from the places I listed. We’d love to visit some lighthouses, spend time on the beaches/coast line seaglass and sea shell searching, shopping, best restaurants/bars, happy hours etc. best areas for a hike, you know all the typical coastal beach town must-dos or you think are worth more than others to squeeze in!
