Hey all, I posted here a little bit ago asking about advice on getting a 2006 Vespa GT200. I’ve been looking for a scooter (Vespa hopefully) for about a year or so but I’m finally in a position to actually afford one. Unfortunately, the 2006 GT200 was sold before I could get a trailer to get it. It wasn’t running and was around 16k miles before sitting for 2 years.

Now I’m looking at some others: 2009 Vespa LX 150 (about 2k miles), 2015 Vespa (50 or 150? unsure but about 4k miles), or a 1980 rebuild (still need to inquire about what that fully means for this scooter). They are ranked from lowest to highest price but all pretty similar 2-3.5k. Any thoughts on what would be best as a first?

I was offered a GT200 with 16k miles for $1000. Is it worth it? It was previously maintained by a shop that has since closed and the owner states it hasn’t been started in two years (not that it doesn’t start). It has a tiny dent and a couple scrapes but nothing major.
