Just curious on what people generally think or prefer for displaying individual cards?
The Methods/Cases I can think of, people using:
- Toploaders: Simple & Easy to get hold off, but unless you tape/seal them, dust can get in them, and the cards can move about alot, typically I prefer these for storage inside boxes. I typically double sleeve the cards.
- One Touch Magnetic Cases (Any Brand): I like these, especially if i can find the ones with colored backs and match them to the card I'm putting in them, but definitely need perfect fit sleeves.
- Plastic Clip Cases: I found some Japanese hard cases that clip together, but to get the cards to not move around I had to use a regular sleeve inside a penny sleeve, and tbh the penny sleeve is a little too tall, but fin enough, it still fits inside the case, without issue.
- Screw Down Case: These seem similar to Magnetic Cases, but i haven't tried these myself, since I don't like being able to see the screws.
- Graded/Authenticated Cards: These are the priciest option I've found by far, but come with I guess certain level of notoriety? Depending on the grading company & grade, I also know companies like Ace Grading do Color Match or Custom Labels for cards, which can look really good.
- Custom Slabbed Cards: Get an Empty Slab off AliExpress/Amazon/Ebay/Etc, Print out your own custom label, put a card & label in the slab yourself, a DIY Slabbed Card, typically cheaper than sending a card off to a company, but it doesn't come with that official/notoriety/authentic feeling of a Graded/Authenticated Card, Like PSA or Ace.
So let me know your thoughts on these methods, or If anyone has other ways they display individual cards, feel free to mention them.
