Will Argos switching lenders affect my score? UK
Hi Everyone
Husband and i currently are first time buyers and we have been giving a DIP on Tuesday.
I have an Argos Credit account which the balance is 0.
They are changing their lenders which obviously i have no control over.
But i received an email from one of the credit reports i use saying a new credit agreement is being added to the report and i checked and its the argos, but at the same time it says in another update beneath it, Your home retail account is being removed, which is the previous lender argos is with.
Im not sure if this is going to impact my credit score in anyway and im worried now. Had i known this was going to trigger this type of nonsense i would have closed the account down completely.
I told my husband to tell the broker. But i just think why should my credit file be affected because of something i had no control over. I use the lloyds credit score simulation and i just added the argos to it and it dropped my score by a considerable amount of points however the lloyds says its just a simulation and cant predict and now its panicking me, but Will this really impact my score?
