Aviation Branch Transfer TCCC

So I’ll be going logistics thankfully but wanted to consider is it worth trying to go aviation again for captain careers course. I was recommended this multiple times but truthfully it isnt as easy as it sounds and is a massive 12 year ADSO (2 years flight school) so almost 20 years at that point after completing my first branch. How often does this occur at all, is it even worth it? I know another option is going Warrant

So long story short I was in the process of going aviation. I started SMP with an aviation unit. So far I’m in the process of getting waivers cleared to pass the physical, I even setup an interview with the BC to receive a letter of recommendation. Flash-forward, I’m pushing towards commissioning and needed a branch to commission with (temporarily) so the OSM recommended the chemical position at the aviation unit and we even confirmed I’ll beach transfer out of that once I proceed through aviation and get selected or proceed with my other branch choice. I come back to my unit as a new LT and all of a sudden the commander is telling that I’m going to CBRN BOLC but at same time asking me about progress with the flight packet. I eventually ask her if she’d be willing to write me one as well as the BC in which she said “she wasn’t comfortable” but I could ask the BC. The BC initially said yes before my commissioning but later gave a dodgy response insisting I go CBRN or another branch then branch transfer due to less flight school slots but then at the same time wanted me to ask a LTC his boss and then he would frame it according to that. So now it’s such a iffy situation where I have no letter of recommendation and the OSM says the commander said you don’t have any letters and it’s like no shit no one is proceeding to help me with that process despite me asking. Fast forward I was supposed to go board but it got cancelled and I’m not sure if they held another one but then new BC comes in and says the same go CBRN then branch transfer Aviation. To end it all can’t forget the readiness NCO demanded since I accepted the chem LOA I have to go Chem despite the 4187 branch transfer policy that you don’t have to get qualified for a branch just because you commissioned into it. Nevertheless, I’ll never get why they decided to give up and proceeding me through aviation and insisted to branch transfer which is absolutely ridiculous considering a extra 10 year ADSO after already spending 4 years in a branch.
