I’m doing just three rounds of Paclitaxel and Carboplatin (doing round two as we speak).
I had my first big hair shed two days ago, when I washed it. The hair on my temples came out completely, but everywhere else it thinned evenly. Since my hair was thick and is curly, at this point you can’t really tell. What happens next? Does it keep falling out at the same rate once it starts or is it likely to stabilize for a couple weeks until the results of this treatment kicks in?
I’m wondering if it’s worth trying to hold onto it for a while. It would be nice to reduce the amount of time I have no hair. I am shedding hairs here and there, but since I cut it short before I started treatment it’s not too bad.
Right now I’m just hoping to make it to the weekend when the wig I ordered will finally arrive! Very nervous about washing it again. Will probably do it in the sink.
