My child was tested three times this year for literacy skills. I don’t know how the tests are conducted but it appears to be some sort of standardized testing as we get results back showing a national average and how she compares. The first result early in the year came back with her scoring quite a bit above the national average. The second was still above the national average, but not as much of a gap. The spring results show a compete flatline for my child’s score and that she’s just below the national average. Her teacher expressed no concerns at our last parent teacher conference so the results were shocking to me and have me concerned that she’s not improving well enough compared to her peers. Advice on how to approach this and how concerned I should be?
