Hello all.
I get this is probably posted a bunch, so apologies, but I honestly just want some tips. As the title says, I'm stuck.
I don't plan on trying tournaments, I just want to get to around 400-600 elo to play with my mates, who are around 400 elo themselves. I'm 15 if that matters.
The only issue is, I'm struggling to win - I haven't played thousands and thousands of games, but I've lost the majority (W:D:L = 2:2:7) and don't want to continue either without a further plan or at all.
The last two games I played tonight both lost in the mid game; one due to a major blunder, the other due to poor time management. I either think too much (sometimes with one train of thought) or think too little and blunder.
I don't know any openings (I know of some, but not how to play them), but I generally play centre pawns (D4 for white, D5 for black), develop knights, then bishops.
TL;DR - Stuck at 200 elo because of poor time management or blundering, and want to reach around 400-600 elo.
