Hello fightgear heads!

I recently placed an order from Spiritualanimal for a 16 oz chegui AA (All around) model. To my surprise it was one of the first gloves manufactured by his new team under his Chegui Boxeo brand.

I’ve worn the gloves now for about 50 rnds of heavy bag work and I wanted to be the 1st to share my thoughts on here.

My initial impression was that the craftsmanship is greatly improved from my campeón chegs. Stitching is beautiful and the gloves are very symmetrical. I’ll add some close up pictures.

I customized the gloves to my liking; Welted seams, flattened triple cuff and I chose that sexy green. They came out exactly how I wanted them.

Ergonomically this is probably the best fist I’ve been able to make in a 16 oz glove. This AA model feels 100% broken in from the very beginning. Opening and closing the fist is easy and very reminiscent of the campeón version. I did notice improvements in the thumb. It’s a bit longer and very comfortable.

The wrist has an extra layer of foam on the inside for protection and the new liner feels like silky smooth and soft. So far it’s been very moister wicking and dries with ease. I honestly expected it to hold on to moister and stink up. So far it dries well and no funky smell.

The grip bar is on the larger side and very solid which I prefer. There is also a secondary grip bar right at the belly of the finger tips that helps make that extra tight fist.

Foam is where the glove shines; The consistency of these gloves over the knuckles is very soft but the more you compress the foam while making a fist it does a really good job of giving you shock absorption along with a flat punch surface.

Right now these are my go to training gloves.

I would say this is the most balanced training glove I have. leans more on the protective side in my opinion but you get softness of a punchers glove. best of both worlds.

Overall Im very impressed with the new line and I can honestly say that these gloves are up there with some of my favorite heavy hitters (lucky khaki and barric. )

I added some pictures of them next to my other 16 oz gloves for size comparison. My particular pair is the 16 oz model in a 14 oz profile and they weighed 16.1( RT) and 16.2 oz. (LT)

I look forward to wearing these to the ground and giving another update on them! Feel free to ask questions and for pictures if you’d like.
