I can never get the proper row gauge. My swatches are always so much longer than intended. Normally my stitch gauge is off too (too many stitches than pattern calls for) so I normally have to size my needles up to get correct stitch gauge.

I’m knitting the clay tee by ozetta right now and my stitch gauge is spot on but somehow my row gauge is so off. My back yoke is supposed to measure 9.5” and mine is measuring around 12”.

I know stitch gauge is more important because I normally just stop knitting earlier than the pattern calls for. But how do I fix this moving forward? What am I doing wrong?
